Frequently Asked Questions
Will it hurt?
Everyone is different. A topical is applied initially and throughout the procedure to try to keep the client comfortable. Some people say the procedure tickles because the topical has made them numb and they feel the vibration. Most people do well with the procedure and feel minimal discomfort periodically.
How long will it last?
Unfortunately, it won’t last forever. Everyone’s skin is different regarding how the pigment “takes” and how long it will last. Our faces are exposed to the sun and light constantly, unlike body tattoos which are often covered. Our face, hands and feet exfoliate at a faster rate than other parts of our body.
Will it look natural?
Everyone has different ideas about how they would like their eyebrows, eyeliner and lips to look. This is taken into consideration along with basic parameters and measurements consistent with your face. It’s always better to do less if in doubt and add to it during a touch up appointment.
Who is a good candidate for permanent make-up?
Active and professional women
People whose eyesight isn’t as good as it used to be
Sparse or no eyebrows
Thin or light eyelashes
People with seasonal allergies
Allergies to make-up
People with medical conditions which limit hand mobility
i.e. Arthritis, Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson's, ect.
How long does the procedure take?
The initial appointment is 1 1/2 hours long. Touch up appointments normally take less time—anywhere from 1/2 hour to 45 minutes.
How will I look afterwards?
There will be some redness and swelling of the tissue. The tattooed area will also look darker than it will stay. Healing takes anywhere from 5-10 days depending on the procedure.
